Artistic Metals
Solid Brass & Copper
Beautiful solid brass and copper pieces are protected by Artistic’s exclusive urethane finish. To clean, wipe with a soft cloth or wash in lukewarm water and dry immediately. Never use abrasive cleaners or polishes.
Bio-Khrome
This unique metal radiates a warm luster with an exclusive urethane finish that is solvent-free and environmentally safe. An alternative to plated chrome, easy-care Bio-Khrome will not tarnish and is as durable as brass. Clean with a soft cloth or wash in lukewarm water and dry immediately. Never use abrasive cleaners or polishes.
Chrome
Chrome’s bright mirror-like finish will never tarnish or need polishing. Clean by wiping with a soft cloth or wash in lukewarm water.
Silver and Goldplate
To help prevent tarnish, wipe with a soft cloth after using to remove fingerprints. When necessary, clean with Artistic’s Silver Care Kit. To retard tarnishing, store each piece in a tarnish preventive bag.
Silver or Goldplated Chalices, Flagons & Communion Trays
After each use, wash in a mild detergent, rinse in hot water and stand upside down on a soft towel to drain. Then wipe dry with a soft, absorbent cloth using a gentle, circular motion following the contour of the piece. If polishing is needed, use Artistic’s Silver Care Kit or a quality silver and gold polish. Store each piece in a tarnish preventive bag.
Polished Aluminum
This lightweight metal is a remarkable value. It is easy to handle but may dent more easily than other metals. It will require occasional polishing with chrome and aluminum polish.
Brasstone Aluminum and Silvertone Aluminum
The rich anodized finish never tarnishes or needs polishing. Because they resemble real silver and brass so closely, they will match other appointments. Wash in mild soap and water. Do not use strong detergents, abrasive cleaners or metal polish.
Aluminum and Brass Altar Vases
After use, completely dry the liners and the altar vases to eliminate any moisture. Do not use any chemical preservative in the vases.
NEVER USE A DISHWASHER TO CLEAN ANY ARTISTIC METAL.
